As One" (코리아) is a Korean movie originally released on May 3, 2012. "As One" will make a debut in the United States at a handful of locations. The movie stars leading
Ha Ji-Won and
Bae Doo-Na as the leading actresses. Ha Ji-Won plays the character Hyun Jung-Hwa, who always wins silver medals in table tennis, and comes short of the gold medal against a Chinese table tennis player. Before the 1991 World Table Tennis Championships in Japan, Hyun Jung-Hwa hears there will be only one Korean team, formed by players from South Korea and North Korea, represented during the championships. North Korea's top table tennis player is Lee Boon-Hae, portrayed by Bae Doo-Na. Hyun Jung-Hwa and Lee Boon-Hae meet with tension and competitiveness, and have to learn to work together as a team. "As One" takes audience members through that journey of these two players, from two different countries, learning to work together "as one". Dates and locations of United States screenings are below.
